Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of this website (the "Site"). By using the Site or contacting us through it, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

Who we are
The Site is operated by Dr. Reut Sorek-Abramovich, trading as #WhereLifeHides, a sole proprietor based in Israel ("we", "us", "our"). Operation of the Site may transfer to an Israeli company during the first year of activity, in which case these Terms will be updated and that company will take our place.

Who may use the Site
You may use the Site only if you are at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You agree to use the Site in accordance with these Terms and all applicable laws.
The Site is informational
The Site describes expeditions, research, speaking, and advisory work. Its content is provided for general information only. It is not professional, medical, safety, legal, financial, or investment advice, and you should not rely on it as such. Expeditions and fieldwork in extreme environments carry inherent risks. Any actual engagement, expedition, collaboration, booking, or other service is governed by a separate written agreement, and nothing on the Site or in an exchange of messages creates a contract, an offer, or a commitment to provide services.
Contacting us
When you send an inquiry through the Site, you agree to provide accurate information and not to submit content that is unlawful, misleading, infringing, or harmful. We may decline an inquiry, delay a reply, or stop responding at our discretion. Sending an inquiry does not create any client, advisory, or contractual relationship. Personal information you provide is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Site in any way that breaks the law or infringes anyone's rights;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers, or connected systems, or interfere with their normal operation;
- use automated means to scrape, harvest, or collect data from the Site, except for well-behaved search engine crawlers;
- introduce malware, or send spam, bulk, or automated submissions through the contact form;
- copy, reproduce, republish, frame, or exploit any part of the Site, except as allowed below or with our written permission;
- use the Site to build or train a machine learning or artificial intelligence model, or to create a competing service.
Intellectual property
The Site and its content, including text, images, photographs, graphics, video, logos, and design, are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. "#WhereLifeHides" and related names and marks are ours. You may view the Site and share links to it, and you may quote short extracts with clear attribution and a link. Any other use, including copying, distribution, modification, or commercial use, requires our prior written consent. Photographs credited to a named photographer remain the property of that photographer and may not be reused without their permission.
Your submissions
You keep ownership of the content of messages you send us. By sending a message, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, store, and process that content for the purpose of responding to you, evaluating and carrying out any engagement that follows, and keeping records. You confirm that you have the right to send the content and that it does not infringe anyone's rights.
Third-party links and services
The Site links to third-party websites, platforms, and services that we do not control, including video, publication, and social media pages, and the Cloudflare service used on the contact form. We are not responsible for third-party content, products, or practices, and a link is not an endorsement. Your use of third-party services is subject to their own terms.
Availability and changes
We provide the Site on an "as available" basis and may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms. We will post the updated version here and change the "Last updated" date. If the changes are significant we will provide a more prominent notice where practical. Continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
Disclaimers
The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error free, that defects will be corrected, or that content is complete or current. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including your mandatory rights as a consumer under the law of your country of residence.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Site, even if we have been advised of the possibility. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims relating to the Site is limited to one hundred United States dollars (USD 100) or the equivalent in your local currency. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable expenses, including legal fees, arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Site, except to the extent caused by us.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or the Site, are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict of law rules. The competent courts located in Israel will have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer resident in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction whose law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts, that right is not affected, and the mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence continue to apply.
General
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site, and replace any earlier understanding about it. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours to a successor that agrees to be bound by them.
